This is a pair of British Army ammo boots. These are in a large UK size 15. This example is in good condition with wear and tear. Could do with some TLC.
British parade shoe used in the 50's, 60's, 70's notable for the metal "horse shoe" on the heel and the metal studding in the leather sole. These greatly reduce wear in the leather sole and emphasise the movement on the parade ground by the sound of the studs as they hit the floor. Still bought by the military and also tug'o war teams and morris dance troupes.
Ankle length boot, six eyelets, loose tongue, leather cap on toe and heel, Thick sewn on leather sole with metal horseshoe on heel and metal studs on sole. Very stiff leather on uppers.
