THIS IS A DEACTIVATED ISHAPORE SMLE NO1 MK3* DATED 1950. This example was Manufactured at the Ishapore Arsenal in India. These rifles were issued and used during many post WWII conflicts. This example has the distinctive square foresight wings. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. This example is extremely good condition with only minor wear. A great early post war example. With regimental number markings on the stock.
