This is a 1942 dated Lithgow made Vickers Machine gun. This example was made between 1 July 1941 to 30 June 1942. This examples also comes with a 1942 dated tripod as well as a fair few other accessories. It is in extremely good clean condition with only minor wear. This example has a vickers bracket dial also attached to one side which is a rare piece on it's own let alone attached to the gun. This example is matching numbers with most of the parts and is able to be cocked stripped and dry fired.It comes complete with correct deactivation certificate as well. The Vickers comes with the tripod, original hose and jerry can (dated 1955), 1942 dated ammo box with its original full length cloth belt dated 1943 as well as a few inert rounds which are war time dated as well, it also has the ammunition box cradle and two oil tins for the vickers with one being dated 1944.
