This is a rare Royal Military Police OR’s cap badge circa 1946-52. This is a very hard to find example as it was only 28 November 1946 King George VI granted the 'Royal' prefix to the Corps of Royal Military Police (RMP). The king later died in 1952 which meant that this cap badge with the kings crown was only made for a very short period with even less surviving today. Most kings crown example only say “Military Police” and miss the Royal part. This example is in good condition with minor wear. The backing is intact but has been pushed shut at some point for when it was attached to a beret. A nice example all round with great history around it.
