|||SOLD||| The Type 14 Nambu was designed in 1925 with the goal of simplifying manufacturing. It was officially adopted for issue to Non-Commissioned Officers in the Japanese Army in 1927. This is an excellent, original Type 14 nambu 8mm Semi Automatic pistol. It has excellent metal work and grooved wood grips and retains it's original finish. It has the correct early production unmodified trigger guard. The right side of the frame is marked with the manufacturer's script characters 'Nambu Rifle Manufacturing Company/Chuo Kogyo Production at Kokubunji under Nagoya Arsenal Supervision'. It has date marks “13-1” which dates this to January 1938. This pistols serial number is “43704”. The left side of the pistol has Japanese Arsenal marks. The magazine has the number “181” with a Japanese acceptance stamp underneath. This weapons strips, cocks and dry fires. It also has a clear barrel and is simply deactivated and not destroyed inside like many others.
