This is an original VICTORIAN Rifle Brigade Regiment Sweetheart Brooch Badge. This example is in very good condition all round. The rear pin is intact and so is the loop it locks into. At some point the loop has been bent down this could be repair and moved back into its original position. This dates from 1880/1890 and was most likely worn by a mother or wife during the boer war.
