A good example of a British 1" Flare or 'Very' pistol. These were issued during WWII to the RAF and AFV's and differed from the earlier No2 MKI1 examples in that they had a shorter barrel without the bell end but fitted with a stud to lock into ports of AFV's to allow firing from inside. This example is good overal condition including its original bakelite grips. Deactivated to the 2010 UK specification (flare pistols are not covered by the EU regulations) with dry fire action, the ability to 'break' the action and the ability to field strip.
